Meet Your Dentist

Jose M. Avila, DMD, has been a practicing dentist since 1992. He provides general dentistry services to patients starting at age 12. Special services include crown lengthening, dental implant restorations, extractions, gummy smile, periodontal disease management, and root canal therapy and retreatment.

Dr. Avila earned his dental degree at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine in Pennsylvania. He also completed a residency at the Naval Dental Clinic Parris Island in Beaufort, South Carolina. His undergraduate degree is from the University of Havana in Puerto del Rio.

Dr. Avila is a member of UPCDA and Academy of General Dentistry and is fluent in English and Spanish.

Benjamin Podurgiel, DMD, has been a practicing endodontist since 1993. He provides root canal therapy and retreatment services to patients starting at age 13.

Dr. Podurgiel earned his dental degree and completed a residency in endodontics at the University of Connecticut in Farmington. His undergraduate degree is from Fairfield University in Fairfield, Connecticut.
