Joshua Cotton, DMD, is a talented and compassionate dentist dedicated to providing exceptional dental care to his patients. Dr. Cotton obtained his Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Prior to his dental education, Dr. Cotton earned a Bachelor of Biological Sciences degree from Tougaloo College, graduating magna cum laude in 2018.
Throughout his academic journey, Dr. Cotton demonstrated his commitment to service and leadership. He was an active member of the UAB SNDA, serving as Secretary in his second year and President in his third year. He volunteered in various service events, including feeding the homeless, collecting canned goods for countries affected by natural disasters, and hosting the Impressions Program for pre-dental students nationwide. Dr. Cotton also engaged in other volunteer activities such as Operation Hope and Help, SOD Community Cares, and dental screening events at underserved schools.
Dr. Cotton's dedication to academic excellence is evident through his consistent presence on the Dean's List during his undergraduate career. He was also awarded the Johnny and Claire Walker Endowed Scholarship for Dental School, recognizing his outstanding academic achievements.
