Orthodontist Tamara Shamlian loves seeing her patients’ self-confidence grow as their smiles become straight and beautiful. She offers a variety of services to correct problems such as crowding, crossbite, open bite, protruding teeth, teeth that erupted in the wrong place, gaps between teeth, and jaw misalignment. Dr. Shamlian starts seeing kids beginning at age 6. The American Association of Orthodontists recommends children receive their first orthodontic consultation by age 7 to determine what kind of orthodontic treatment they may need in the future.
Dr. Shamlian was born and raised in California. She earned her orthodontics certificate and Master of Science degree in craniofacial biology from University of Southern California. She received her doctor of dental surgery degree from New York University. Dr. Shamlian is passionate about community service, and has traveled around the world on mission trips to provide dental care.
Dr. Shamlian is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, American Dental Association, California Dental Association, Fresno-Madera Dental Society, and Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists. She speaks English and Armenian.
