Fort Stewart orthodontist Dr. Carl Russell has been helping people improve their smiles since 1999. He offers a variety of services to correct orthodontic problems such as crowding, crossbite, open bite, overbite, gaps between teeth, and jaw misalignment. Dr. Russell offers traditional metal braces, clear braces, Invisalign clear aligners, and more services designed to straighten smiles. He treats patients as young as seven years old, which is when the American Association of Orthodontists recommends children receive their first ortho evaluation to spot any problems with jaw growth and emerging teeth. Dr. Russell earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from University of Alabama School of Dentistry and completed his specialty training in orthodontics at Medical College of Georgia, School of Dentistry, which is now known as Dental College of Georgia at Augusta University. He also holds a B.S. in Mathematics, and an M.S. and Ph.D. in Biostatistics. He's been published in several dental trade journals and magazines, and has furthered his education with a course on evidence-based medicine and dentistry at Harvard's Forsyth Institute. He owned a private orthodontic practice for more than 15 years. Dr. Russell is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, Georgia Association of Orthodontists, American Dental Association, and Georgia Dental Association.
