Adilah Everett-Long Joins Coast Dental as Vice President of Hygiene Operations
Tampa, FL (February 14, 2024) – Coast Dental has announced that Adilah "Dee" Everett-Long has joined the organization as the Vice President of Hygiene Operations. Dee's extensive education and experience make her the ideal candidate for this critical role.
Dee holds an Executive MBA from the University of South Florida, a BA in Healthcare Administration from Ashford University, an AS in Dental Hygiene from St. Petersburg College, and an AS in Dental Assisting/Leadership from the Community College of the Air Force. This diverse educational background provides Dee with a comprehensive understanding of the industry and the necessary skills to effectively lead the hygiene operations.
In her previous role as Zone Operations Manager at Henry Schein Inc from 2020 to 2023, Dee successfully managed operations and accounts for a medical/dental device distribution company in a rapidly expanding territory. Her leadership resulted in generating over $400M in equipment, merchandise, and labor revenue, through collaboration with the Sales Department. Dee led a team of 7 Regional Operation Managers, 16 Supervisors, and 220 technicians.
Before joining Henry Schein Inc, Dee served in the United States Air Force from 1998 to 2018. During her military career, she held various positions, including Senior Operations Manager, Air Force Dental Hygiene Liaison, Dental Hygienist, and Dental Assistant. As a Senior Operations Manager, Dee oversaw operations for clinics that produced $6.8M in annual revenue. She directly supervised 23 mid-level managers and a total of 51 employees, ensuring P&L management, revenue margins, and provider production. Under her leadership, the clinics exceeded the production goal by $1.3M during the first year of her assignment.
