Shruti Sonavane, DMD, is a highly accomplished dental professional committed to providing exceptional patient care. Dr. Sonavane earned her Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, School of Dentistry, where she also completed a Master of Science in Biomaterials. Prior to that, she received her Master’s in Dental Surgery in Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics from D.Y. Patil Dental College, Pune University, India, and her Bachelor’s in Dental Surgery from Shared Pawar Dental College in Wardha, Maharashtra, India. Her extensive education equips her with advanced knowledge in general and restorative dentistry, as well as expertise in dental exams and conservative treatments. She is also fluent in English, Hindi, and Marathi.
Dr. Sonavane brings years of clinical and teaching experience to Coast Dental, having served as an associate dentist in multiple practices across Florida and Alabama. She has also enjoyed educating future dentists as a faculty member at VSPM Dental College and D.Y. Patil Dental College in India, focusing on restorative procedures and dental materials. Committed to community service, Dr. Sonavane has participated in outreach initiatives such as UAB Cares Community Day, led hands-on training courses, and provided oral health check-ups in underserved regions. Her dedication to continued learning and compassionate care makes Dr. Sonavane a valued member of the Coast Dental team.
