Coast Dental And Orthodontics Enhance Practice Capabilities With Investments In Digital Equipment From Dentsply Sirona And Practice Management Software From Henry Schein One

All 119 Coast-Affiliated Practices Will Feature New Equipment, Technology and Software to Enhance Operational Efficiency and Improve the Patient Experience

Tampa, FL (January 17, 2019) – Coast Dental and Orthodontics (Coast), one of the largest dental providers in the U.S., announced its investment in new equipment, technology and practice management solutions to help improve the digital workflow among its 119 affiliated practices. The integration of solutions from Dentsply Sirona and Henry Schein One, a joint venture of Henry Schein, Inc. (Nasdaq: HSIC), will also enable clinicians to deliver more convenient, accurate and faster procedures for patients.

As part of the practice group’s large investment in digital technology, all Coast-affiliated practices will feature digital equipment from Dentsply Sirona, including digital x-ray sensors, pans, pan cephs and intra-oral scanners, enabling practitioners to see more patients and deliver more quality patient care. To help enhance practice efficiencies, Coast has signed a new agreement with Henry Schein One for its practice management software, including Dentrix Ascend, a cloud-based practice management software at all of its locations. The new technology and practice management systems will be implemented in mid-2019.

In addition to new technology and practice management software, Coast has centralized its operations by enhancing its call center, billing and collections, insurance eligibility and quality assurance capabilities. Coast has also invested in new financial systems for accounting, procurement and insurance negotiations. To ensure continued success, Coast has invested in its people, creating a new Managing Partner Program, converting employee dentists to managing partners. At the time of this release, 22 doctors have signed on, with plans of broadening the Managing Partner program throughout the organization.
