Dr. Ruso starts seeing patients as young as seven years old, unless the child’s doctor or dentist has recommended an earlier evaluation. The American Association of Orthodontists recommends children receive their first orthodontic consultation by age seven to spot any problems with jaw growth and emerging teeth.

Dr. Ruso is from the Tampa area.  He graduated from the University of Florida, then received his dental degree from the University of California Los Angeles.  He then completed his advanced training in orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics at the Baylor College of Dentistry, where he also earned a Masters in Science Degree in Oral Biology.  He is Board-certified by the American Board of Orthodontics and is a member of several professional organizations including the American Association of Orthodontists, American Dental Association and Florida Dental Association.
