Exam was comprehensive. Doctor and staff were knowledgeable and helpful. Technology was old school but effective. Only comment is that the office needs a face lift. A new coat of paint would make a BIG difference.

For a person like me who will avoid a dentist visit I had to have a crown. It was not my first crown ever but it was my first crown with no pain, no discomfort and no aggravation. Waiting was a bit long this visit.

On my recent visit I had to get 4 fillings, a temporary crown, and one wisdom tooth removed and everything went well. The local anesthesia pinched a little, but other than that I didn't encounter any pain. Dr. Juma (DDS) & his assistant did a very good job. Although, the office is not as modern with new technology I would definitely recommend a friend.

They are very friendly. It doesn't seem that they overschedule as it does not take them long to call you back once you sign in. They make sure you understand what to expect for each visit. They discuss options with you to let you decide which way you want to proceed if you need major work done, as I do.

The staff are very professional and kind, not like some past experiences of mine where staff looked and sounded miserable. These people take their work seriously and it shows. Dr. Juma is great, I feel comfortable with him and confident in his care, which was a big factor in choosing a dentist for myself. I recently started going to Coast Dental for my teeth. I needed a root canal and cap in one tooth, and a build up and cap on another tooth. The people there are very caring and give you the best in dental procedures and products. I was sent to a specialist for the root canal only; then Dr Zuma took care of the rest, along with his Dental Assistant Monica Sanchez. Though it was a bit pricey, i was very satisfied with the work completed. I would recommend Coast Dental to anyone needing Dental Care.

This week I had my annual exam, oral cancer screening, and cleaning, and everything went very well. As always, everyone was friendly, professional, and thorough. When I moved to DeLand from Tennessee three years ago, I chose Coast Dental because it was close to me, and I hoped the dentist and other staff would be as good as the ones I left behind. I have always been satisfied with their work and thankful that I found a dentist I can trust and in whose work I have condidence. Try the office on International Speedway Blvd. Their work is excellent!

Excellent Professional Dental Team. Very caring, explains procedures in detail, besides giving you a folder with paperwork explaining in detail the work that needs to be done, the total cost of the work, what your insurance coverage is, and the part that is your responsibility. Very professional!

Dr. Juma is amazing! He's very smart, kind, and personable. His staff is friendly. The reason I gave four stars, instead of five, is because the hygienist constantly hit my gums with her drill and sharp tools. This made the cleaning quite uncomfortable.

Everything was very nice from the office staff to the back rooms. I just don't like going to one room to wait. Then when they are done you have to wait again to see someone else. It happens at all dentist offices I have seen. That is the only thing I could say negatively. They really made me feel comfortable talking about the options and why the option was good for me or not.

I had to wait 5 days for an appointment till the Dentist got back from being out of the country.Everything else was very good , but they should have an on-call dentist for emergencies.

I recently went in to Coast Dental after being unable to pay for dental care for three years. I don't have insurance and I am a new patient and new to the Deland area. The staff was very nice. The ladies at the front desk are very kind and informative. They helped me figure out the paperwork and complete it accurately. The dental hygienist, Lisa Bedenbaugh was very kind to me and explained everything that was going on while she cleaned and sealed my teeth. I really appreciate her as I was very nervous and she kept me calm. She was very comforting. She also took the time to answer any of my questions. One of the ladies who worked the front area came back and sat with me to explain their discount program and to help me work out how I could afford the care. By choosing the SmilePlus program I saved over $200 on my dental care. The dentist, Zahid Juma, was very kind to me and also took the time to explain everything he was doing and why he was doing it. Overall, this is the best dentist experience I've ever had. Everyone was kind and considerate and really took the time to reassure me and to explain everything to me.

I had a regular cleaning schedules with Lisa yesterday, and it went great, as always. But I have to come back in a couple of weeks to have a new crown made to replace an old gold onlay that I've had for about 40 years. It will go fine, I'm sure, as Dr. Juma has replaced a crown for me and I've had no trouble. He's great at giving the anesthesia injection, too. The part I dislike is the grinding, but I just put up with the noise and the sensation.

broke a tooth on a friday. was worried i wouldnt be able to get in anywhere before the wk. end. called coast dental and was in the chair in 2 hrs. everyone very friendly. only gripe...i was prescribed vicoprofen for pain. went to six pharmacies and no one carried it. spent the wk end. in some pain. but i would go there again.

I have been with Coast Dental since moving to Fl 13 years ago. I have been pleased with the dental work and the Dentist and Hygentist.

I loved this dental office! Initially, I was disappointed when I learned only chain dentists accepted my insurance. I went to a chain dentist a few years ago and the experience was awful. That dentist office continually tried to up sell and scare me into procedures I didn't need. Coast in Deland was a pleasant surprise! The hygienists were adorable, as was the dentist. No one tried to pressure me into anything; they just took care of my teeth. I'm very thankful for this experience!

My mother has lost her lowers and I had no other thoughts than to come back to Coast Dental in DeLand. The staff is so outstanding, caring and accommodating. I have completed the process, for after treatment of gum disease, extraction of infected Teeth, and being fitted for upper and lower partial plates, I have a mouth with all teeth I should have. I am very pleased with the comfort of the fit of my partials. It is amazing to be able to chew my food on a full surface of teeth. Through this entire process, I could not be more pleased with the dentist and professional staff at Coast Dental. I have certainly been treated like someone very special, their patient!

I arrived early for my first visit and my paperwork was already filled out. The receptionists were out front on their lunch break and no one was at the front desk, so I wasn't greeted until about 15-20 minutes after I got there, then it took several minutes after that to complete my chart (which is why I arrived early to begin with). In that time several people that arrived after I did were called back first. Other than that initial greeting, I am very happy with my experience. The hygienists and doctor were friendly and prompt. My procedures were explained thoroughly. Everything I needed was taken care of in one visit.

Was completely satisfied with the service and the staff. Appointment was moved up by a month, and they got me right in and explained everything to me. The doctor and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

I had a couple of filling replacements. Quick and easy. I really like the dentist. He's very personable and does a great job.

Ive always been apprehensive about going to the dentist, i never know whats going on and they use big words and never dumb it down so i know what they're talking about. But going the this doctor, he explains whats going on in ways a person with little experience in dentistry can understand and the doctor is very gentle with his procedures. And he talks about what he is doing while doing it so you know what to expect. Wonderful place the get the teeth worked on.

Called me in before appointment date, had two extractions and impressions for partial plates in less than an hour! Excellent care provided!

I had not been to Dr. Jumas' office but when I had a crown break I went by the office and had an appt. for the next day. The staff and Dr. Juma worked well through the lunch hour and had the temporary crown in and on my way. Even as lunch approached and the office was closed, Dr. Juma and his asst. continued to treat me as if they had plenty of time making sure everything was just right. Much thanks Dr. Juma and staff.

Unexpected developments, a filling which became a crown, but the staff just took it in stride and I was able to have my temporary crown same day. That is certainly an indication to me that the doctor and staff are very attuned. It is almost as if the office staff can read the doctors mind that verbal conversation isn't necessary for the working together is like a fine precision machine with a lot of patient care evident.

I love this place. I've feared the dentist my whole life and have avoided them. When that bit me in the butt, I was recommended here (specifically to Dr. Juma, not just 'Coast Dental') and it was the best decision. They're nice and non shaming even if your teeth are crap like mine. Even if your appointment is a little far away, they have you on standby and call you with an earlier appointment. They also run on time, if not early, which is very rare for any doctor of any sort. I highly recommend them, even above sedation dentistry which I've tried and hated.If you're a dentist-phobe like me, I really implore you to check Dr. Juma and his staff out. I had FIVE teeth worked on over the course of 2 months and each appointment I experienced no pain and only slight discomfort. They also ask often if I'm ok and have readministered novocaine when the discomfort was more than I wanted to deal with.

Doctor Jumba and his Dental Assistant are very good. Explain everything as procedure is progressing and make sure you are comfortable at all times.

My husband and I get our teeth cleaned by Lisa every 3 months, and she is the most thorough hygienist I have ever been to. She is meticulous and conscientious and has her patients' best interests at heart.

Well, the routine checkup/consult, ended in two crowns, and almost 4 hours of drilling . I think I would have liked to divide it into two visits, but that would have been more cost in the long run. Thank you Doc for numbing me up real good, and the excellent tech. it made it a lot more bearable. I would reccomend you to other friends. You were excellent and the longggg visit ws made better for the breaks. Thank the whole staff, the receptionists was also very knowledgeable.

No only was the dental service great, but I also greatly appreciated the whole staff being patient with me and helping me since I had my 3 month old with me. I had a 10:30 app. and wasn't seen until after eleven.

I was very pleased with my visit. I have been practising Dental Hygiene since 1966 and I have worked in dozens of offices and have found this to be the best run dental practice. My only concern was with the shading of my temporaries, they are too light and I am hoping that the shading of my crowns will be accurate. I did mention it and photos were taken so I would think it should be correct. The office staff were very professional and yes I would highly recommend your practice.

A very long and uncomfortable procedure was made as comfortable as possible by your Deland staff. They did a great job and were very proud of their work.

scheduled semit-annual celaning was separate from dental annual check up. the place as clean and employees friendly and helpful. I'm a satisfied customer.

Because of the ongoing care I have received at Coast Dental during the past several years I have gone from having serious periodontal issues to hearing my mouth pronounced "in excellent shape" by the dentist at Friday's appointment. A variety of professionals have worked with me (changeover is somewhat of a problem!) but they have always worked as a team and collectively helped bring healing to my mouth. I am grateful for the care I have received!

Dr Juma is one of the very most personable medical professionals I have ever known. I am pleased and happy with his attention to detail and thoroughness. The entire staff is most competent and friendly. My complete program (full dentures is not complete as yet......will give a final review at the end of the program.

Most personnel not friendly, Patient waited about 20 to 25 minutes in the chair being seen. Chair side manner did not seem friendly. Most people are afraid to come to the Dentist anyway, try to make them and the sponsor as comfortable as possible.

Lori, the hygienist, was great. She explained as she was cleaning the procedure and what to expect. She was very gentle. You could tell she had been doing this a very long time. Please keep her. :-))

I was told they were running on time and it took 30 minutes before my appt.

I felt the technician did a good job and especially appreciated her explanation of every part of the treatment. She discovered a little difficulty that had to do with residue from the extemsive work I had done several months ago with two extractions and two permanent bridges and as a result of her dealing with it immediately I was saved a lot of discomfort. Good work!
