I am terrified of dentist because it has always been doctors that just don't seem to care at all or tell you a thing about what is going on or why. This doctor was the first one ever to make me feel he cared at all, to go over everything in detail, and to actually take the time to put me ease not just get mad or frustrated by my fear! This office is amazing! I broke a tooth the Sat before Christmas and they called me the morning after the holiday and fixed my tooth that very morning! (Yesterday)

I had a filling fall out & I walked into the office & was given an appt that day. I did have to wait a little but they were fitting me in so I think it was reasonable & I didn't mind. We recently moved to the area & I wasn't sure which dentist to go to. I could NOT have been more pleased.

The hygienist was genial and professional. The cleaning was absolutely painless, a departure from the same procedure done by my former hygienist, which procedure left me with very raw and sore gums. This is very important to me as I have an autoimmune disease and cannot risk a cleaning which leaves me in pain, and at risk for worsening oral health.

I am always satisfied with Coast Dental but this week, when I had to get 2 fillings (ugh), they really went out of their way to make sure I was comfortable, even offering a blanket since I was cold. This small kindness really made my day and made the fillings slightly more tolerable! Thank you!

I was on vacation and my old cap fell off. I was seen after a very short time. it was explained to me what had to be done. The doctor did a good job of building up my tooth and making a new cap.

After a sleepless night I looked up emergency dental care on line and found several. The first one I called was not helpful at all. I called Coast Dental and the receptionist told me to come in ASAP. I am a 6 month resident of Florida from NY. From the minute I walked into the office everyone was friendly, the office immaculate. The dentist explained what my problem was and how the treatment should proceed. I was extremely satisfied!

The hygienist was very patient with me and answered all questions to my satisfaction. My wife has decided to transfer from the Port Orange office to the New Smyrna Beach office. Primarily because Dr. Traylor(?) has returned, but also because her hygienist has transferred to this office.

I had an urgent dental need and made an impromptu appointment. The solutiion required an over 2 hour solution. Even though the solution required an hour plus of overtime, there was no hesitation by Dr. Traylor to address. I really appreciated the office's efficincy and empathy! I went to Coast Dental for the first time after having not seen a dentist in over 10 years. I had a few issues that I needed addressed right away and they listened to my concerns and got me a referral for an oral surgeon right away. They were gentle with me and made me feel like they could competently handle my dental health plan.

I went to this office with a broke tooth thinking I needed a root canal or I was just going to lose the tooth! Instead Dr. O' Brien was honest and told me I just need a filling and everything should be fine . Also the front desk staff got me in asap. When I called them in a panic after I broke my tooth the office Manager Missie got me in as one of the first patients in the morning the next day. Thanks to this office and all the wonderful staff!!

I went for a cleaning. It was the yearly x-ray, exam by Dr., etc. I wasn't in the waiting room long before I was called back and the whole process, though longer than the 6 month cleaning, really didn't take that long. I really like Vickie. She always does a great job on my cleanings and she takes the time to answer any questions you have and gives advice on products for specific problems you're having. I decided to schedule an appointment to get a crown for a broken molar that I'd had for a year and they were actually able to get me in that day, about an hour later. So I came back, got called back right away, got numbed up and got my tooth fixed. The Dr. was great, I didn't even feel the needle when he was numbing the area, which is the part I fear the most. He asked if I was doing okay a few times while he was working, which I appreciated. His assistant was so nice, I can't remember her name, but she was great. All I have to do is go back in a couple of weeks for the permanent crown. I have never had a bad visit at this office and I have had a TON of work done here. I highly recommend Coast Dental!

I love that you care enough to ask how you did. I have been very happy both of my visits. Only thing I can recommend is that everyone working on the pt introduce themselves at least at the first visit. But over all care is wonderful! I also love how you go over the cost exactly and plan of care before anything is done. That is exactly how I think it should be done. Great work!

Dr. O'Brien along with his nurse were awesome again. Many shots in the mouth w/out feeling them. Had an Extraction, 2 Fillings, 1 crown and a Bridge. Absolutly no issues. Love this place

For an initial, consultation visit, we were well-received and accomplished the establishment of a new dental care relationship. As retirees, with greater financial limitations today than when we were 'producing income', we appreciate those who consider that issue in providing the care we need. While we expressed this in our first visit, we trust Coast Dental will prove to be everything we experienced yesterday and going forward.

Prompt, friendly and thorough service

Office staff was extremely professional and accommodating! They fit me in short notice for a caps that came off. The dentist notice decay in the tooth belong the missing cap and filled it for me on the same visit. He did not hurt me at all while injecting the novocaine. I was very happy with the serve all the way around!!

My hygienist was very kind and compassionate. She was a bit rushed when flossing my teeth which was quite painful since I have sensitive gums. Once she realized it was painful due to my wincing, she slowed down and resumed her sensitivity to my dental needs.

My cleaning was done efficiently. The hygienist was efficient and courteous. No doctor available for examination. Office could have been cleaner, especially the floor. Bunch of stuff stoed haphazardly in closet andf door was open. I was there about 10 minutes early and was not taken into until about 15 minutes after my appointment.

Waiting time too long is my only complaint.

The office was courteous and efficient today. They called me back promptly and fit me in within hours to fix my cap that came off. The hygentist went out of her way to re-evaluate my periodontal status and scheduled me to have my teeth cleaned this Thursday. The dentist was professional and efficient. I am extremely satisfied with the service I received from this office yesterday.

I went to have a wisdom tooth removed that had started to bother me. I was pretty nervous at first, but as soon as Dr. O' Brien his assistant got started I was at ease. Other than some pressure the procedure was painless. I was in and out within an hour. The staff that I encountered was amazing.

No one in this office runs on time. 10 minutes is a reasonable waiting time, 20 minutes is not.

Hygieneist was professional, courteous, willing to answer questions, considerate and offer new suggestions to improve teeth care. However, new RX prescription was incorrect, which was quickly resolved when I pointed out the problem.

Friendly staff, prices are really great compared to some area dentists, and they don't make you come back 15x they get what they can done with every visit .

Front Desk staff were very nice- wait time was not long & They will get as much done for you in one appointment as they can, instead of bringing you back 10 times for different things. The Only thing I didn't really like is that they asked me to wait in lobby even though my child is a minor. I think this was really more due to space available than anything else. But I didn't feel comfortable with leaving him. My child is older though, so I wasn't insistent.

Dr. O'Brien was very nice and efficient.

My daughter was very nervous, but after her first visit she said that she won't be next time. The girl that greeted us was very nice. The dentist was very friendly and took the time to talk to my daughter about her dental needs, but also about hobbies and future career plans.

My 11 yr. old son had a bicycle accident and knocked part of his two front adult teeth out! They took us in on a Wednesday morning to make sure there was no jaw or nerve damage with x-rays. Which there wasn't, thank goodness! Then had an appointment on Friday morning to fix his two front teeth! The doctor was awesome with the nova cane needle, he was very scared but hung in there and let him try 3 x's, the third time was the charm. He got all that fixed and went back today for a filling. Took the pain needle no problem this time as he knew it wasn't as bad as it looks. Thank you for the great service!

Friendly and accommodating staff. The dentist was gentle and kind. I had a chipped tooth, and it looks better than it did before I chipped it. AMAZING!!! I'm so grateful....and at ease now.

I have Humana Gold discount Insurance & have been extremely disappointed that you have not give me a substantial discount for my cleaning procedure. I received only a $10.00 discount for $145.00 charge. This is not acceptable to me. I have noticed that I haven't really received a substantial discount when I have my yearly check up. It takes me the 6 mos. or more to pay for the procedures. Therefore it is difficult for me to come every 6 mos. if I haven't finished paying for my fee in the 6 mos. I am considering going to another Dentist in Port Orange who gives a better discount for routine visits for Humana Insurance participants.

Thought I chipped a tooth - just walked in with no appointment "can you look at this?" In the chair within 10 minutes, all OK, out in 15 from the time I walked in - no problem at all! tooth OK, and I am VERY pleased - also no charge! Yes, I'm happy ;-)

Best dental office I have ever been to. Staff is excellant and caring.

I was 5 minutes early and waited 15 minutes beyond for a 9 AM appointment. Also seemed to me like the hygieneist kept coming and going a lot allowing me to take short naps before and during my cleaning appointment. I think my xrays and cleaning took approximately 1 1/2 hours...it seemed rather long. Other than the length everything was fine.

Great experience. My husband and I come here, and I also recommended my sister in law to this office and she is also now a patient.

My only complaint is no one runs near the appointment time. I waited 20 minutes for my hygienist this time. The last time, I waited 40 minutes. Other than the wait time, I am pleased with the service.

Unbelievably excellent experience. Dr. O'Brien was great and shared his knowledge to answer any question. Evelyn was so knowledgeable and funny, she made the experience more than tolerable by far. And as always, Charmaine and Patricia continue to set the bar of excellence in customer service.

I only had to wait 15 min. before being seen. Hygenist was knowledgeable and courteous. She also was very gentle in cleaning my teeth.

I ordered implants abutments on Feb 18th and it is now March 18th and they still have not arrived in the office for installing. The full amount of the entire implants and teeth was collected for the abutment order to be processed. i don't think this is very timely service, especially since the entire payment had to be paid in order for the abutments to be ordered.

I had to wait 2 hours to get exrays even though I had an early appointment and arrived 15 min. before my app't to do the paperwork, so I don't think I'll stick with this office. I'll come get a cleaning but after that will look for a dentist that has a shorter wait time. However, I do think the xrays were the most thorough ones I've ever had. Also, the dentist and all of the staff were very friendly and courteous.

Patricia & Charmaine completely set the tone for your experience with friendly smiles and sweet, welcoming voices. I thought this location`s new dentist was very inviting, friendly, and seemed to truly care about his patients. Other than a longer wait time, my experience was excellent and I am looking forward to going back in two weeks.

On my first appointment, I waited over an hour past my scheduled time to be seen. They stated that some of the staff called off/didn't show up. My second appointment, I was seen at my scheduled time, so I really didn't feel like I could give a negative or positive review. The staff seemed very friendly and courteous. Gwendolyn Traylor, the dentist, was gentle and didn't hurt me at all.
