TAMPA, Fla. (March 23, 2012) — Patients in Pinellas, Pasco, Hillsborough and Polk counties have a new option for affordable braces now that orthodontist  Lauren Lockhart, DDS, has joined Coast Dental.  Dr. Lockhart accepts most dental insurance and offers free consultations.  The American Association of Orthodontists recommends that children first consult an orthodontist at age 7. Dr. Lockhart offers traditional braces, near invisible braces and invisible braces to correct a variety of orthodontic problems including crowding, crossbite, open bite, protruding teeth, teeth that erupted in the wrong place, gaps between teeth and jaw misalignment.

She earned her dental degree at the Meharry Medical College School of Dentistry in Nashville, Tennessee, and completed a residency in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics at Jacksonville University in Jacksonville, Florida.  Dr. Lockhart earned an undergraduate degree at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, and is a member of the American Dental Association, American Association of Orthodontists, National Dental Association and American Association of Women Dentists.  She is fluent in English and French. Before joining Coast Dental, she practiced in Ohio.
