Dr. Robert Fields has been creating beautiful smiles since 1993. He provides braces, clear aligners, and other services to improve a variety of orthodontic problems including crowding, crossbites, open bites, overbites, protruding teeth, teeth that erupted in the wrong place, gaps between teeth, and jaw alignment problems. He treats adults, teenagers, and children as young as eight years old.
Dr. Fields received his B.A. degree from the University of Tennessee in 1978 and went on to complete his dental education at the University of Florida where he earned his DMD degree in 1982. Dr. Fields then entered the Navy and practiced general dentistry from 1982 until 1990. During his military service, he served with distinction and was presented the Navy Achievement Medal in 1990. After his Naval service, Dr. Fields completed his training in orthodontics at the University of North Carolina in 1993. Since that time, Dr. Fields has practiced orthodontics in both private practice and corporate dentistry settings and now has more than twenty years of orthodontic experience.
Dr. Fields is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, Southern Association of Orthodontists, American Dental Association, and Florida Dental Association. As a Courtesy Faculty member and President of the Board of Directors for the Alumni Affairs at the University of Florida, Dr. Fields continues to advance the clinical science and dental research through his efforts with the National Dental Practice-Based Research Network. Additionally, as a founding Board Member of the Clay County Dental Care, Inc., Dr. Fields volunteers his services at a public health dental clinic as part of an ongoing community service project within the county. Dr. Fields places strong values on family, and is married with three children and five grandchildren.
