Every staff member recognized my anxiety and tried to provide assurance and calm. Dr Avilla was unbelievable in his patience and calm approach. He suggested no numbing needed for my repair and I wasn’t so sure. We agreed to “try” by working together. No numbing, NO discomfort, no problems......completed in quick fashion. All done without any discomfort whatsoever!!! Wonderful experience.

We decided to move to the Tarpon Springs Coast Dental office in favor of another office. The staff are very friendly and efficient. Waiting time was less than five minutes, unlike my experience with other dentists. The hygienist did an excellent job of cleaning my teeth.Another favorable factor for me is that the dentist and I attended the same university.

Going to the dentist has never been an exciting thing to do for me. I've been a patient with Coast Dental locations for 25 years. However, I do enjoy my visits at Coast Dental.They always help ease my stress and provide a sense of comfort. The staff are extremely friendly and outgoing too. I've always received excellent services and both the staff and the doctor have always gone above and beyond to exceed my expectations. They've also really helped work with me to stay within my budget while still meeting all my dental needs. Fair prices and quality services. Overall just a great experience and I will continue going there and bringing my children there when they are old enough for years to come.Thank you Coast Dental for always going the extra mile.

I was pleasantly surprised after being treated at other Coast Dental offices. The staff was friendly and efficient. The dental hygienist was thorough and did an excellent job with almost no pain. I was not treated by the dentist on this, my first visit, but he took the time to meet with me and shake my hand. Customer service and courtesy like this are sadly becoming rare these days, but not here.

Can say enough good things about this place. So happy to have found it last year. Its been the most pain free experiences every. The Dr's and Technicians are very gentle. I almost fell asleep during routine cleaning today. Front office staff are always super pleasant and happy to rework appointments with you in the event that something comes up. Never any surprise charges or "shakedown" like some other places that constantly try to up sell you treatments that you simply do not need. My daughter is also a patient now. So yes I would highly recommend.

I had a problem with a tooth way in the back that was rubbing on the inside of my cheek creating a sore spot. Dr. Avila looked at it and figured out what the problem was and did some grinding on the side of the tooth and now it seems to be all taken care of. Thank you Dr. Avila.

Dr.Jose was amazing- right along with Julia and the rest of the staff. I am not the biggest fan of the dentist but they made it all so easy and the environment was so calm and clean. The doctor answered all of my questions and was very confident as he spoke of how we would fix my dental issues. I would definitely recommend them to my family/friends.

As usual, my recent experience at Coast Dental in Tarpon Springs was professional and courteous. After a cheerful greeting from the receptionist I was ushered into the treatment room by the hygienist in a timely manner. I was advised as to what the visit would consist of and the cost of the procedures. Teresa took x-rays and completed my teeth cleaning quickly and with no discomfort on my part. Dr. Avila was his usual pleasant and jovial self. He completed his examination quickly and professionally. Check out and reappointment went off without a hitch I highly recommend Dr. Avila and his staff for their professionalism and their concern for their patients.

I am 75 years old and Dr. Avila is the best dentist I have ever had in my life. He is friendly, takes his time, always looks me directly in the eye, and he gave me a good price a few years ago for dental work I needed .Teresa my RDH has been there for years as well and that says a lot. She always takes her time and I feel like she wants to keep my teeth and gums healthy.

It was a last minute appointment for a broken tooth and they were able to get me in the very next day. Great service. Thank you.

Went to get a second opinion and I was very impressed with the staff. They were ALL friendly and very patient with all of my dopey questions. I decided to go ahead with my Dental Needs. They took the time to explain in detail what I needed. I didn't feel rushed or pressured. So far so good.

I have been going to this Coast for any years. I think very highly of Dr. Avila. He even came to say Hi to me when I was out shopping @ Walmart. He is the best dentist I ever had and I am 74 years old and have terrible childhood memories of the 1950's . Give hi a raise he deserves to be paid a premium.

After I broke my denture I am required to wait 40 days for a replacement. I am 78 years of age and living on a semi-liquid diet is adversely affecting my health. I appreciate the work of Dr. Avila and his staff at the Tarpon Springs office. I have always been treated with consideration and care. They are true professionals. Regrettably, the labs Coast Dental deals with leave a lot to be desired!

Dr Avila I find to be the most cheerful alongside knowledgable dentist I have ever been too in all my years. Much credit must go to Theresa who regularly does my cleanings. Came to this practice after a very bad experience elsewhere. Everyone from Miriam at the front desk to Nelly who took Xrays and assisted Dr Avila to Theresa who cleaned my teeth and the excellent office manager Awilda (sp?) were so kind and professional. Dr Avila is so good and he listens, doesn't hurry and just finished a gorgeous crown for me. They really taught the basics of gum care. I love them all, and sent my husband !!

I went to Coast Dental for a second opinion. I was apprehensive only because of another dental facility not associated with Coast Dental, that I previously went to, but Dr. Avila put my concerns to complete ease and answered all of my questions honestly. Due to his treatment and information and his staff's, I choose to not only not go to the other dentist but to switch over to Coast Dental in Tarpon Springs Florida to Dr Jose Avila.

Had my teeth whitened, and they're 5 shades lighter! It is definitely noticeable. A new lease on life with my ease and freedom of smiling! Turning 60 is not so terribly bad now!??

I went to coast dental with very low expectations because my previous dentist, but coast dental proved me wrong by being everything a dentist should, they were on time, every single one of them was kind to me, they were very patient, and they had me out the door everything all done in 23 minutes, I think the only thing they didn't do was tell me what I can take for a sore mouth after extracting my last molar, but they did tell me what I couldn't take.

I went yesterday for my second visit to have a root removed and a tooth pulled and he also did the impressions for my partial. The staff was great and the Doctor was so nice and gental. Coast dental out did themselves again. When I was 10 years old I fell skating and cracked my front tooth into a sharp gang-like shape. The doctor did an amazing job bondin a new crown an perfectly matching the color. Not only did it look natural and real but it lasted 9 years longer than I was told it would have. As of yesterday I had the crown replaced and once again I am a hundred percent satisfied with the outcome the color and shape is outstanding and I couldn't be happier thanks Coast Dental

When I broke a tooth, every one at Coast Dental was wonderful! They gave me an immediate appointment and worked clear through their lunch hour so that I would not have to walk around with a missing tooth.

had a problem with my top plate, four front teeth cracked off. took them in on monday. dr.joe examined them, took another impression, and sent them out for repair. i had them back the next afternoon. they had been strengthened and fit like the proverbial glove. and, there was no charge. these guys are the best !

Emergency tooth removal they took care of me .Very efficient and quick moving staff!Thanks for getting rid of my tooth pain!

I was provided with a treatment plan which included an extraction and a new upper partial and a new lower denture. I was surprised that they were able to take impressions for the partial and denture at the same appointment as the extraction, thereby saving me another trip and the cost of another appointment. The whole thing only took about a half an hour. The extraction was quick and painless and has healed beautifully. No swelling, or bruising.

So far,I have been very impressed with Dr. Avila and staff. I believe the assistants name is Julia, is always giving a detailed run down of procedures and costs, so there are no surprises. All In All it was a very pleasant experience, especially since throughout the year I have been coming as support for my husband. It was soo nice to be on the receiving end as the patient. I have always had so much anxiety about going to dentist which started from when I use to go as a child growing up getting cavities filled.

My dentist is the best! Professional always happy and friendly and the staff are amazing! Appointments are on time no long waits and the best thing at this office is that I never feel uncomfortable or nervous they always tell you what they recommend that's best. They tell you how much so no surprise charges and if some issue comes up with my insurance they let me know and they credit me back. So my last appointment didn't cost me anything. One happy patient big smile every time I leave unless half my face is numb. lol??????Highly recommend this office

Just started coming back for dental work, teeth were in rough shape, Dr. Avila and assistant have been very kind and after first procedure, never thought teeth would look like natural teeth again. Looking forward to continuing work, instead of dressing it. Payments and payment plans well documented and discussed so no surprises, even though things might change at the time of visit, it's always discussed with honesty.

I had my first appt. at Coastal the other day. When I walked in the door, I was greeted with big smiles and warm welcomes . I felt like we were friends. Nelly, Marian, Teresa, and Awilda were so kind, gave and explained all of the papers to sign and made me feel like they really cared about me. If I was still in business, I would want each one to work for me. Then I met Dr. Avila. I have never had a Dentist that would explain and listen to my thoughts like he did. After I had all of my x-rays, he went over one by one of what needed to be done and how it should be done. He showed me 3 options and ways I could handle this. I also had a cap pop off right in front of course. I asked what he could do right away because I had 2 events to go to this week and next. I have a flipper with one tooth and he told me, he would add a temp. new tooth on the other side of the flipper so I could smile at my events. Now, how great was that. That afternoon, I came back and I left smiling. Sometimes, you just happen to be at the right place at the right time. This was my place to be with Dr. Avila and his great staff. ai will be their patient for man y years to come. I have found where I want to be. It is Coastal Dental in Tarpon Springs, Florida. Dr. Avila, quite simply put, is nothing short of phenomenal. He demonstrates a professionalism that can only be appreciated if you have the good fortune of being one of his patients. He goes about the procedures in a confident, efficient manner. Which in my opinion, is a sign of a fantastic dentist. There is never any hesitation to any of his decisions. He exudes confidence and a sense of humor. Put these two qualities together and it makes for a very relaxed dental experience. He has been my dentist for 3 years and I am more than satisfied with Dr. Avila. Miriam the office manager, is also an exceptional asset to the whole affair. Seems to juggle many tasks all at once; all with a smile on her face. She makes you feel welcome from the first moment you enter the doors. Not to mention everyone else. I had a crown come off Thursday night. Friday morning, on my way to work, I stopped in to see if Dr. Avila could help. The time was before 8am. The door was open.I was told the Dr. was expected in shortly. Since I hadn't yet been to work, I left to check in with my supervisor (I work 1/4 mile away). By 8:10am I received a call asking if I could back in right away; I did. Dr. Avila re-set the crown and I was back to work by 8:30 am. WOW! Thank you to Dr. Avila and to all his staff Well done.

I have been going to Coast for many years. Teresa my hygienist is professional and caring. I have one goal in mind when I come in for my appointment and that is to have my teeth cleaned and then treat myself to go shopping. Dr Avila is the best!!! He knows I remember the "good" old days when having dental work done was painful and I was a kid who yelled, pinched the dentist and cried. I never feel any pain and to the best of my memory I never pinched Dr Avila. He has a great personality full of kindness.

I had an issue with my Humana Insurance at first. Once that was resolved I received my new dentures. I went back after one week for an adjustment. Was promptly seen without an appointment which was "lucky". Dr. Avila made this adjustment. The next day the dentures are an exact fit with no pain or inflammation. Dr. Avila is a tribute to his profession and to Coast Dental for not only his professionalism but his courtesy and friendship shown to me on my four visits.

I have been coming to Coast Dental for over 20 years- starting with their office in Port Richey. I have had bridge work done, whitening of the teeth, deep cleaning. I have not changed for I have been very satisfied. Just saying that I have been coming for over twenty years speaks for itself. Doctor Avila, and his entire staff are very professional.

Coast Dental in Tarpon Springs is a fantastic office! They have a great staff and a wonderful dentist, Dr. Jose Avila! I have always disliked going to the dentist since I was a little girl, but the staff and Dr. Avila make it comfortable and pleasant.

This is the only dental office that i ever been to or heard of that really get to know their patients and really cares, they go over the mile to make sure patients are as happy as when they walked through the door. I would not change a thing, so why not just make that call and give coast dental a call, i did.

I was so very pleased with my visit and Dr. Avila! In fact, I have recommended Coast Dental and Dr. Avila to my neighbor who will be scheduling an appointment as soon as he gets back from vacation. I did have a problem with post-extraction pain because I cannot take Advil/Aleve products due to a stomach condition. This was my first time at this dental office, & I received an exam with the dentist & the hygienist as well as x-rays. I was told I needed a DEEP cleaning and I never needed this in my entire life, but the dentist was very full of knowledge and friendly. As for the hygienist she did her job well but spoke very little to me. I wold recommend this dental office for a simple exam & x-rays.

She was just wonderful as I didn't feel well and she made the vist pleasant .

I will not say that I enjoy going to the dentist, but I will say that this is the best dentist office that I have ever been to.

My resent experience with the Coast Dental office in Tarpon Springs FL could not have been better. I was treated with the utmost courtesy from the start. I needed extensive work due to a broken tooth and crown, Dr Avila and his staff explained not only what procedures were needed in detail but also why they were needed, the work was completed in a timely manner with very little pain. The professionalism and teamwork I obsevered where very refreshing in an era when solid work ethics are not the norm but the exception. I highly recommend this office to all in need of a GOOD dentist.

I have been going to Coast sense I moved here 23 years ago. I would like to see you get with the times on the digital xray equipment. I realize they are expensive.. That is the price of doing business. I love Doc! He is the Greatest! and all the girls are great too.

She recommended the BriteOn when it was first introduced to Coast Dental and explained the procedure. I waited for a long time because I was scared of the sensitivity but I went yesterday and today I feel great no issues and I am super happy with the result.
