Dr. Nancy Havens, General Dentist
Dr. Nancy Havens has been a practicing dentist since 1993.
She provides general dentistry services to adults and children as young as two and as mature as 102. Whether you need a yearly check-up or services such as, fillings, crowns, Veneers, bridges, partials, dentures, or dental implants, she looks forward to helping you.
In pain? Dr. Havens and her team can do root canals and extractions to provide same-day emergency dental appointments.
Dr. Havens is a graduate of THE Ohio State College of Dentistry in Columbus, Ohio and earned an MBA at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio.
She received a B.S.P.A. in Health Care Administration at Saint Joseph’s College in Standish, Maine.
Dr. Havens is a member of the American Dental Association, Florida Dental Association, West Coast District Dental Association, The past President and Delegate of the Sarasota County Dental Association and a member of the American Society of Forensic Odontology & American Academy of Forensic Sciences.
When she’s not busy creating beautiful smiles, Dr. Havens enjoys playing tennis, gardening and traveling in her car.

Dr. Gary Steen, Teledentist
Gary Steen, DMD, is an experienced dentist with a diverse background in various aspects of the field. Dr. Steen earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Louisville School of Dentistry. He also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from the University of Tennessee-Chattanooga. With a broad range of skills, Dr. Steen is proficient in all areas of general dentistry, including orthodontics, oral surgery, and endodontic and periodontal surgery. He is also experienced in utilizing innovative techniques such as Invisalign, mandibular advancement devices for sleep apnea, and the placement and restoration of implants.
Dr. Steen successfully managed and operated his own practice in Tampa, FL, for nearly three decades. Prior to this, he served as an Associate General Dentist at Chastain Dental Group in Lakeland, FL, where he gained valuable experience in providing comprehensive dental care. In addition to his private practice experience, Dr. Steen has also served in the United States Air Force Dental Corps as a Captain. During his time in the military, he completed his General Practice Residency at USAF Malcolm Grow Medical Center, where he further honed his skills in various dental procedures.
Throughout his career, Dr. Steen has obtained dental licenses in Florida and California, and he continues to stay updated with the latest advancements in dental care. His dedication to providing comprehensive and quality dental treatment is evident through his vast experience and commitment to continuing education.
Dr. Karina Gilbert, Teledentist
Karina Gilbert, DDS, is a patient-focused dental professional with over 12 years of clinical experience in various areas of dentistry and a strong educational background. Dr. Gilbert holds a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Virginia Commonwealth University, an AEGD from the University of Florida College of Dentistry, and dual Bachelor’s degrees in Biology and Psychology from Nova Southeastern University. She has expertise in oral diagnosis, treatment planning, restorative dentistry, prosthodontics, and cosmetic procedures.
Dr. Gilbert has held several positions throughout her career, including serving as a Dentist at Modern Dental Care, The Family Dentist, Smile Design, and Christie Dental. Her employment history demonstrates her versatility and adaptability to different dental practices. Dr. Gilbert is driven by a commitment to provide exceptional, compassionate care to her patients, and she ensures that they have a comfortable experience during scheduled appointments and emergency situations.
Her skills include a range of dental procedures, such as prosthodontics, implant restoration, cosmetic dentistry, oral surgery, periodontics, endodontics, and more. She is also CoastClear Aligners certified and has expertise in digital and dental radiography, complex treatment planning, and dental emergencies. With her wealth of education and real-world experience, Dr. Karina Gilbert is dedicated to continually providing the highest standard of care to her patients.
Dr. Michael Crovatt, Teledentist
Michael Crovatt, DMD, treats adults, teenagers and children starting at age 2. He provides preventive, restorative and cosmetic dental care including exams, fillings, extractions, crowns, teeth whitening and more. In addition, his team strives to accommodate same-day emergency dental appointments.
Dr. Crovatt earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Washington University School of Dental Medicine in Clearwater, Florida in 1983. He is a member of the American Dental Association and Florida Dental Association.
